Sasa Muri! Since I was with you when you left this comment, I guess I didn't feel the need to reply right away. :-) I'm still having nightmares from that one commercial of the animated mosquitos, but hopefully that too shall pass. I do need to pick up one more dose of 4 pills before I head back. Look forward to seeing you this weekend. Hugs - Nkiro :-)

Thank you, Murithi. I can tell that you are a great parent by your toughness with Laura Lee re taking her malaria prevention medication!
Thanks, also, for all the help you have given LL as she has prepared for this project. Your father really deserves all the commendations and honors he is receiving.

Wow! What a mom you've got Laura Lee! Sure Mama Laura Lee. She did not. But take comfort. I have today ensured she bought the dose and supervised her swallow the first weekly dose. I will keep an eye to ensure she keeps to the regime.

Laura Lee, welcome to Kenya, and later this week, Meru. We, the General's family are greatly indebted to you and your family for the sacrifice to get the General's story recorded. Our children and their children after them will find this, and write their own story of the heroine who dared the mosquitoes of Africa without malaria prevention, risking the wrath of a mother's love, for the love of making a contribution to the world - by telling the story of their forefather.

Laura Lee, welcome on board and enjoy the ride.

Dear Madam President Laura Lee: In an abundance of caution and to prevent my wrath, I also urge you to get your malaria medicine before you leave, even if it is cheaper in Kenya. Although I know you will not, at least I have a public record of telling you to do so. Respectfully yours - Mom

LL I'm really proud of you. Keep hope alive. I think it's so wonderful you're trying to help individuals in Africa document and remember their culture. Documentation is much better than oral stories as a means of passing their history through generations.
